Black Tech NOLA Success

Black Tech NOLA 2020 was nothing short of remarkable! Black Tech professionals, founders and creatives gathered for 3 days of talks, meetups and virtual happy hours. The 3rd annual event reached nearly 5,000 viewers over 3 days! Their star-studded lineup included Lupe Fiasco, Cheryl Contee, Rashawn Williams, and Thaddeus Young just to name a few.

Presented by Entergy and JPMorgan Chase & Co. the event’s purpose is to build collective capacity within the Black tech community and map accessible pathways into the tech industry for underserved and underrepresented groups. “[Our community has] wealth, power, influence, knowledge and access of our own – we really have everything we need to lift our people up to where they belong”, said Sabrina N. Short, Black Tech NOLA, Executive Producer.

Local and global tech companies joined the conference’s mission to foster a diverse and talent filled pipeline for the Level Up NOLA virtual hiring event. Over 40 jobs listed on the event’s website ranging from creative, technical, to operations jobs in tech. The job listing will remain open to the public indefinitely for anyone interested in getting a job in tech. Job seekers can browse tech jobs and send their resumes to diversity focused recruiters at
