A Scrum Master is like a facilitator, the point person, that communicates between teams to ensure projects stay on track. A Scrum Master must be a good lister, strong communicator, organized, a problem solver, and work well with others. Scrum Masters don’t need a 4 year degree to be hired. Most entry level Scrum Master positions only require a certification, which can be completed in a 2 day training with an assessment.
Delgado Community College is now offering a new suite of internet technology courses to provide New Orleans residents with the necessary skills to enter or advance their careers within the technology workforce. The IT Quartet Course Suite courses will validate the skills current working professionals need by earning their certifications in CompTia A+, Network+, Security +, and AWS Cloud Foundations while also providing individuals with no experience to launch a career in Information Technology.
IT Foundations, Computer Networking, Cybersecurity, and AWS Cloud Foundations are the four courses included in the suite.
In October 2019, NOLAVATE Black launched Tech Ready, a workforce development initiative to support career advancement in the technology industry. Tech Ready partners with organizations to offer training, demos, and recruitment events that promote inclusion in tech.
